I've been looking around through newspapers, Craigslist, Ebay, and many other websites searching for VW buses. I would really love a 23 window bus but they are way too expensive. If I found like a 11 window bus is it possible to bring it into a shop and have them add windows too it? Or is it too expensive? Almost anything can be done but there is always a price. Thanks, Tyler there are not going to be any spaces for you to add windows, not the way the bus is made, the 11 window bus has bigger windows, and get what you can afford thats how you do this, The only practical way to do that would be to cut the roof out of a 23 window and weld it on to the 11 window, which would be kind of pointless. If your regulator becomes damaged it will stop the window from working correctly and can even lead to the window becoming cracked within the frame. You should therefore look to replace the regulator if it has broken. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Trim stick Wrench set Screwdriver set Replacement window regulator Step by Step : 1 Open up the door of the window frame which you will be replacing the window regulator on. 2 Use a phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws which are attached to the rubber trim around the window and rear view wing mirror. Use a trim stick to remove the rubber trim away from the window. 3 Use a wrench to remove the bolts attached to the black plate on the door. Lift the plate away from the door. This will give you access to the regulator. 4 Locate the regulator which will be attached to the bottom of the window pane. Disconnect the bolts which attach the regulator to the window frame. Remove the rest of the bolts on the bottom of the regulator and remove it from the window assembly. 5 Fix the new regulator in place with the mounting bolts. Attach the regulator back to the window pane. Reattach the door assembly by following the removal steps in reverse.
